If you would like to know how many students are on the waitlist for your child’s age-level prior to applying, please email your child’s birthdate to lcroney@wsycnashville.org. Thank you!
The application to join the waitlist may be found HERE. Please note that we do not roll over waitlists from year to year. If not admitted for the 2024-2025 school year, you will need to reapply for the 2025-2026 school year.

For all application questions, please email admissions@wsycnashville.org
1. Currently enrolled students are given first priority in application to WSYC, followed by:
2. Siblings of currently enrolled students and active members of Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC). WPC defines an active member as “a person who, in Christ, has been baptized, has been received into the membership of the church, and who participates in the church’s work,
worship, and financial support.”
3. Community members (all those applicants who are not noted above) have the remaining priority
in application.
4. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of spaces available in any age group, the
date and time of application may be one factor used to determine placement. Other
considerations may include legacies (parent or formerly enrolled siblings WSYC attendance) and
gender/age range balancing in classrooms.
Regarding all class placement, a reasonable effort is made to balance gender and other factors within
each class to ensure the best placement of each child.
Requests for specific teachers are not among the factors contributing to the child’s placement. It is not possible for us to field specific teacher requests equitably. We ask that in fairness to your fellow parents that you not make such requests. Please know that our faculty is highly qualified and attuned to individual children’s personalities and learning styles. We consider the best placement for each child and the composition of each classroom carefully. Our end goal is setting up the students and teachers for success. Feel free to send us an email with specifics if you feel your child has particular circumstances of which we should be aware. Parents are notified of each child’s class assignment and teachers’ names in August each year.
