Curriculum
WSYC’s curriculum in all age-levels has been developed over time to meet a range of content-based goals, informed by the Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards (TN-ELDS). Content areas include Language & Early Literacy, Science, Math, Social Studies, Creative Arts, Physical Development, Social Emotional Development, and Approaches to Learning. All learning goals are developmental in nature, meaning that children are not expected to meet specific goals at specific times, but rather their development in each area is observed and growth over time is celebrated. Progress on these goals is recorded and shared in writing with parents at conferences, held at least two times annually.
